BE2T innovates on teacher recruitment by starting early in college to expose fellows to education careers in discreet intervals via three components. Specifically tailored for college students enrolled at least half-time, participants are eligible to begin sophomore year for a 3-year fellowship. Each year of the fellowship builds upon a progressive theme. Year One is the Orientation year. Fellows work in an afterschool environment spending both academic and physical activity time with students and get used to working with school-age kids. Years 2 and 3, the Observation and Application Years respectively allow students to build upon the soft skills they acquired in year one and directly apply them in classrooms across the city while supporting academic growth. Each year of the fellowship is also supported by our personal growth curriculum, Saturday Cipher Series, and our childhood development and teaching

Geared for graduating college students, recent graduates, and career changers, the Change Track is one-year program tailored to prepare, support, and quickly move candidates already interested in teaching into the classroom. Through the Change Track, each member has the opportunity to participate in both the Saturday Cipher and Development Lab Trainings and receive interview and application coaching for full-time opportunities in schools.
